Homemade Marzipan - it is much easier to make than you think!
Create traditional Christmas gifts the easy way. Marzipan is delicious on its own but add a little high quality chocolate and you have a decadent treat.
Marzipan is gluten free as it contains no more than 3 ingredients. Here is what you need:
200g ground Almonds (peeled)
150g icing sugar
2 tblsp rose water (or any other liquid if you do not like the flavour - ideas are: Cointreau, Kahlua, Amaretto or bitter almond or mix in spices like cinnamon, ginger or even a pinch of chilli)
How to make the Marzipan:
In a food processor combine the ground almonds and icing sugar. Mix to combine. Slowly add the rose water (or other liquid) until the mix comes together. Use clean hands to form the mix into a soft dough. Done
You are now able to use the Marzipan to bake some amazing treats or simply make your own truffles, chocolate filled with Marzipan and so much more!
