One of the oldest foods known to man, millet is highly nutritious and naturally gluten-free. It is considered to be one of the least allergenic and most digestible grains available. Millet is tasty with a mildly sweet, nut-like flavour.
To Prepare: Mix together 1/2 cup of Millet Cereal and 1 1/4 cups water in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Microwave Method: Mix Millet Cereal and water in a non-metallic container and microwave for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave for 1 more minute. Vary amount of water for desired consistency - more to thin and less to thicken. Add salt or honey and dried fruits, nuts and spices as desired.
